Shift on console is just stupid
If you ever drive in the mountains, you would think different. I use the manual selection on it to up shift and down shift constantly in the snow.

I know it's just your opinion, but I'm curious as to why you are OK with these two, but not spending that much on a truck?
I guess because when I think of a truck I still think of it in terms of primarily a work or utility vehicle rather than a luxury vehicle. I’m fine with a luxury truck, but I think they’re a bit inflated, and they could easily produce a fleet of trucks in the 30-40k range that would have plenty of bells and whistles for most buyers and fit all of their needs. I just have a fundamental problem with spending 70-80k on a truck. I don't have a problem doing it, but on the same hand, I have a problem doing it.

a truck is still a truck to me.
Sure but not "just" a truck. It's my every day driver, it's my mobile office, hell 1/2 the time it's where I eat lunch. I'm at the point in my life that I can afford some luxuries so why the heck not.

I don’t blame you.

I don’t like digital speedometers and tachs. Watching the needle jump up when you get down on the gas is just more fun to me

Those are settings that you can change. If you like to watch the needle jump, you simply change the setting.

Those light gray seats have to go. Everything else is nice

It doesn't look much different than the previous one. Just a minor update.
For something billed as a "complete redesign", yeah.....this is pretty meh.

I wish there was an option to have no console like the good old days. Seat three across front seat. That way my wife wouldn't have to sit in back when the dog comes along

I'll probably be getting one. I've got a 2013 and ready to get something new.

This
I drove my brother in laws 2018 F-150 this morning. Was not impressed. Loaded to the gills but everything felt cheap as hell.
Not to mention they STILL have the problem with the idle air fuel valve choking out the engine. I had this same issue on the one and only Ford I ever bought, a '99 F-150. In 20 yrs the only difference being now the truck senses the stall and restarts the engine on it's own.
Pretty shite way of fixing a problem if you ask me.
So no thank you, I'll keep my problem free Chevy and go either Chevy or Ram when it's time to buy again.
Just my dos centavos

Man I like fords, but it’s like they went backwards with their interior design. It just looks unbelievably dated

Interior looks like it was made in 2009
Like.... what???

You can fold the shifter down to have a flat surface.

Thats because people that dont need a truck are buying trucks and wanting luxury items in them even though 90% will never use the truck as a truck.

Yeah that’s a comical take. This is immediately the best in class interior. GM’s interior, screen and gauge are so out of date compared to what Ford did.
