Ford F-250 and F-350 drivers have to deal with weak shafts apparently; recall issued

Which is odd because the need to compensate for weak shafts are what sells so many oversized and under utilized trucks.
But seriously…as oil returns to gold plated truck nut levels, it’s important to keep up with the repairs needed for your baw-mobile. This issue could be dangerous (rollaway risk). Get your shafts checked.

The recall covers certain F-250 and F-350 Super Duty pickups from the 2017 through 2022 model years. The trucks have gasoline engines and aluminum drive shafts.

Who buys a gas powered 3/4 or 1 ton over a diesel?

They need peptides. It helps for the few occasions I’ve had to work with a weak shaft.

More than you think. Our company has gone away from diesels due to the repair costs among other things…

People who know that power strokes beak down so much that they can bankrupt their owners.

Almost everyone who bought the last 3 or 4 years.

We’re buying oil from Russia, Hand. This doesn’t help the local truck nut baws

Men who drive F250s have weak shafts.

This is new wizard technology right?
Ford would never screw up something that they’ve been making for 100 years.

Box on frame construction is one of the quickest and simplest assembly methods but the GM, Ford and Chrysler has looked cut costs where they can.
Electrical, drivetrain and engine recalls have plagued them in the last 10 years.

Only F-250 and F-350 drivers are left with weak shafts though.

A lot of companies have gone away from diesels with all the emissions crap and the repair costs. Diesels are expensive to maintain baw.

I frickin hate anything diesel.

With global supply shortages, you can only use what you get.
Man do I have a clip from the Cleopatra parade in Houma. Typically, the Houma krewes would get trucks from Southland Dodge to pull all the parade floats, but with the global supply shortages, it looks like they had any old baw with a truck. One of them a was an F-150 or 250 with specialty tires, and when he came to make the turn on to Barrow street with a long float, he barely barely made the turn and had his back tires spinning and couldn’t pull the float in the turn. If I have some time later I might make a gif.

With oil prices where they are now, they need to just trade in or order a new one.

Anybody with financial sense.

Ford hasn't made a decent diesel engine since 2003. And even then, it was Navistar-built.
After that they started chasing the modern diesels like the Duramax and the updated Cummins....and ended up with a hastily designed, underbuilt motor with severe reliability issues. In a panic, they replaced that one with something that was even worse. Then they put their own design out there and screwed up almost all of the emissions technology for about a decade.
And now people buy a shite load of gas powered F-250s.
