Maybe time for Woke Farley to step down and work at a dealership or at a factory for a while. And he can take GM’s Mary Barra with him.

(WXYZ) — Ford Motor Company has been plagued with recalls and quality control issues in 2022.
John McElroy is the editorial director at Autoline and says it's impacting Ford's bottom line.
"It's costing the company billions of dollars," he said. "This is not a new problem by the way either. But this is also Ford's greatest opportunity. They can fix these problems. They will fix these problems."
Nearly 100,000 2022 Maverick pickup trucks have been recalled due to fire risks.
The 2022 F-150 lightning has over 2,000 recalls for the tire pressure monitoring system. And now the feds are probing over 25,000 2021 Ford Broncos because of catastrophic engine failure that can cause the SUV to lose power at highway speeds. At the time, no recall has been issued for the SUV.
Anna Chrenenko drives a 2021 Ford Escape, but with less than 2,000 miles on it, she already had two recalls—her brakes and an engine oil leak.
Each fix took a month to get parts.
"I would like to know why we have so many recalls," Chrenenko said. 'Why would there be faulty brake pads on a car with under 2 thousand miles? Why would it be put on a car like this?"
From an outsider's perspective, McElroy says it looks like an organizational problem.
"It is a systemic problem. Yeah, they have problems with suppliers or problems at the plants, but everybody has that," McElroy said.

Ford owners should trade up to something more reliable. Like a Fiat, Land Rover, or Dodge.

Never again for me- my 2013 F-150 was in the shop once a year for A/C problems, starting at 20,000 miles or so. Replaced a booster, the back glass (for a known defect that could cause the glass to shatter). Topping it off, the service at the Ford Dealership was utter shite. No loaners, like pulling teeth to get calls back. Ridiculous. I got out as soon as my warranty ran up. Never again

Other than product and horrible management, Ford’s biggest issue is it’s dealers. Some are okay, but most are shady AF.

I had a 2016 F-150 with the 5.0 V-8. The intake manifold had a plastic part that would get stuck in the open position, causing the check engine light to come on, and the only fix was to replace the entire manifold. After 2 failures in 2 years, and a 2 day repair job each time, I traded the truck after a factory customer service rep said I was on my own once the warranty expired.
2 day repair, minimum $1,500 parts and labor, and I'm on my own because (the collective) YOU designed a piece of shite critical part?
So much for "built Ford tough."

I brought my 2020 F150 to Robinson Brothers on April 5, 2022. Transmission issues which is under warranty. This Friday will make 4 MONTHS they’ve had my truck and still not fixed. No loaner vehicle available they say and no idea when it will be fixed. Supposedly all parts have been in for 3 months now but technicians can’t figure out how to fix it.

One day people will learn to never buy the first year of a brand new vehicle that Ford or GM makes. Guaranteed piece of shite.
