I think Saturn has the best dealer system. In 1998 when looking for cars I looked at the Saturn. I didn't like the cars but the dealership was like going to a store. They had the final price on everything. There was no haggling no negotiation. Just the price.
I hate spending an hour going back and forth over the price when I'm the end all I really care about is the monthly cost.

Gonna go extinct if they keep this up.
Not at all. If people will pay those prices, why wouldn't they charge them?
The value of something is the price that person is willing to pay.

Except when we’re talking about ice and the like.

That’s $134 too rich for me.

Every dealership has some type of scam that they like to operate . I was told once you step on their lot you are in trouble.

I looked at a new car with a market adjustment and was like WTF
told the dealer my trade in better have a market adjustment

That’s a fine truck for people with too much money.
I’ll keep my 07 Tundra for as long as it’s working. $34k seemed like a steep price in 2007, but seems like a steal now.

What I wonder is, when people buy a $85,000 truck, are you buying that truck with the intentions of paying if off or is your goal to just drive it for 4 years then sell it for your payoff amount and go buy a new $85,000 truck. Since cars don’t hold value like a house does, do you just accept that you will be paying $1,000 a month forever, like a usage fee to drive a nice truck every month.

If they want to shackle themselves to a permanent car payment and can afford to do it, more power to them.
I paid off my truck in 2010. Still driving it.

It’s why the CEO of Ford is trying to eliminate dealers and go the Tesla route.
I’d honestly pay a little more to not deal with going to a dealership. Let me pick the trim, options, warranty and deliver it to my house. Hate dealing with car salesmen

I've literally heard people say that they don't pay off their vehicles because if they ever didn't have to pay a car note they would never be able to pay one again.
I couldn't muster a comment but my only thought was "Are you a fricking idiot?".

And y’all frickers will buy it anyway

Good thing you have a choice to not buy anything from them.
This has been repeated a couple times already. I’m fairly positive most people here understand that. But that’s not the point of the thread.

That might be plausible if the total wasn’t also an “error”, dude is full of it

Would that be Tim of Tim Smith ACURA?
Bought our used F-150 from them back in 2017. Got an ok deal. But hated going there.... for parts, service and sales.

I used to be against it, but now I’m all for eliminating dealerships for new vehicles. It’s too easy to shop online and they’re getting insanely greedy.
I think I saw Ford won’t be using dealerships for electric vehicles moving forward, so it’s already beginning.

At that price, they better have a built in 24k gold set.
