For those with kids, did you think you'd ever have kids?

Or was it something you had wanted?

Anyone never imagine themselves with kids end up with kids?

Intention was to have 3. We had 4. I literally fricked around on getting a vasectomy...and wound up with our youngest daughter!

Yes. Thought I might have 2 or 3, but it looks like it's just going to be the one.

Absolutely wanted kids.. love having them and can't image my life when they are gone.. when they are gone, I look forward to a new phase in my life.. Though, kids consume a large amount of energy... energy that you want to expel exploring life.. I will always recommend having kids early or really late.. my kids will be out of the house while I'm still relatively young so it will be great...

I was happily single and didn't want kids. I met my wife and no kids was a deal breaker for her. We now have 2 and I would not want to imagine life without them. If I hadn't started so late in life I would have more.

Always wanted kids. Life with a two year old is hectic, but it's amazing to watch him learn something new everyday.

Wanted 2. Had 3. Get the snip the second you are done. My sperms were workers.

I love kids. Almost all kids across the board. Kids are awesome and one of the few things in this world that brings an automatic smile across my face thinking about them.

I'm getting up there in age and I have felt i have lived a pretty decent life and have sewed all my wild oats at this point and could no doubt see myself dedicating the rest of my life to raising a child or two.

I have been really good at preventing having children when I wasn't prepared to bring a child into this world, but now I would absolutely LOVE to gather all my ducks in order and find me a mid-20yo that feels the same as I do about kids and have is a couple to raise.

Would be awesome. I think I have the life experience and the love to raise some great kids. They would teach me a whole lot as well.

I despised kids when I was younger. Good thing it changes things quite a bit when they belong to you. I have a houseful now and couldn't be more content. Hands down best thing that could have happened to me is becoming a dad.

Unfortunately, we have two.

I don't think you understand the meaning of the word "literally".

You cheated on having a vasectomy?

Worked for me. I'll only be 43 when my youngest turns 18. Just 5 more years to go.

Wanted them, couldn't have them so finally tried other avenues and now have a girl and a boy. Greatest joys of my life.

Me. They will be just like their father when they grow up.

Always wanted kids, didn't think i ever find the right mother i wanted for my kids. Without trying their mom popped up into my life and i knew instantly she was their mom. However, the best thought out plans go haywire because life isn't easy. First born child only lived a week, my first living child had a stroke while still in the uterus. Consequently, he has many mental and physical obstacles to overcome. The last two are the easiest kids to raise.
I wrote all that to tell everyone wanting kids to be cautious and mindful that mother nature has her own plans.

Always wanted kids. Best gift ever

As I sit here with my 3.5 year old and 1 year old watching paw patrol drinking milk, I'm the happiest I could be

I wanted kids. They are by far the best thing that has ever happened to me. By far.

My ex-wife. The running family joke was that she'd never get married or have kids - the ex even said as much. Well, it turned out to be sort of prophetical. Aside from her deep-rooted issues, she is what my lawyer refers to as a Disney mom - meaning she only wants the kids for a very short time and just fun but not the work that goes with it.
