While there are some guys who are legitimately turned on by fatter women, I think there's more to it than that sometimes.

I think some guys operate with the mindset that these women are appealing, not necessarily because they are aesthetically attractive in a "classic" sense", but because they are "attainable".

These women are not 10s. They are not the starlets, models, and celebrities on the red carpet, runway, or magazine cover that make you feel like you could never have them. These sorts of women are partly coveted because of what they represent. It's a lofty ideal that most men aspire to reach. In order to land a woman of such quality, you need to be successful in some significant capacity. So, in a sense, there are multiple fantasies at work. 1) Sleeping with the beautiful woman, and 2) being rich, powerful, famous,etc. In short...they are a status symbol which validates your worth and appeal as a man. Even professional aspirations and success are not solidified without the large paycheck, the big house, the gaudy material possessions, and the sexy woman on your arm.

Meanwhile, these fat/overweight/obese/"curvy" women the OP subjected us to are not coveted in sort of the same sense. They are seemingly well-known figures in their respective field and industry, and therefore carry some social value. Landing one of them is a step up from bring home the fat chick at the end of the bar during last call at Reggie's. It's a more realistic fantasy for some poor, self-confidence-lacking man to pine over. He can dream about landing the plus-size "model", but to envision bringing home the Victoria's Secret Angel is just a cruel way of subjecting himself to mental anguish.

I like them a little curvy sometimes, but none of those broads are really all that hot to me.
