This is such a foreign concept to me.

Not that you'd purposefully delay working, but rather that there is some set number of things to do in a given day. I have to think the whole clock watch, leave everything at the office at 5:30 thing is declining.

Anyone else feel randomly dizzy sometimes from sitting at the computer too long? I've been doing this for 8 years now. I hope I don't have cancer.

8 to 5 here. Frequent coffee and poop breaks. Spotify premium is also a lifesaver. Also helps when you know your coworkers and can hold a conversation with them

Listen to music, coffee (not much, just enough) and take an occasional break to talk to others.

I rub a couple out in the bathroom and then when I can't any more, I work.

Depends on what you're doing.

I worked in corporate sales tax for 3 years and I wanted to kill myself.

I now work as inside sales person for an industrial company, still sitting at a desk for the same amount of time, but I love it.

When I don't have to be focused or "in the zone" for a deadline, I typically listen to sports radio or music. I'm also not averse to taking maybe a couple minutes every hour to go grab some water, stretch my legs, or have a quick convo with a co-worker.

No one is sitting at their desk, staring at their computer for the full 8-9 hours per day, 5 days a week.

I'm spending this summer working an office job. 730am-3pm

get used to it. When you start working full time it will be much worse with the longer hours.

I'll get up and bullshite with a coworker, take breaks to stretch or get water, walk to a coworkers office instead of email, always shite for 15-20 minutes during work.

I really do think it is inhumane the way the standard office is set up. You have rows and rows of grey cubicles, its depressing to think that in each cubicle there are people who have been there most of the day doing work. Its like a prison.

Declining yes. But not close to being gone. I've fought it my entire career in Construction. There are far too many people that equate productivity with the number of hours spent with butt in seat.
