Heard today he’s got cancer. Hope he pulls through... He’s a well loved man.

He’s a very popular barber that has been in business for years around the Perkins road overpass. Figured people that have used him in the past when going to LSU may want to go by and see him. I’m not saying he’s dying, just that he’s got cancer.

Seriously don’t think he’ll mind. One of the nicest guys you’ll meet and doesn’t use any social media so he’ll be fine with it. If it gets him some love then all good. I’ll tell him I did it

Thanks Ruxins. I knew it wasn’t a secret or I wouldn’t have posted. I just figured there are people on here who don’t get their haircut by him anymore (and may not have known otherwise) that may want to swing by the shop and say hello. Help to keep his spirits up. I think I’d want to see lots of old friends. He’s been cutting hair for years and years.

Throat cancer. No history of tobacco use at all. He started chemo a few weeks ago. When i talked to him, he was keeping positive and knows he has a strong support system. I know it’s killing him not being able to work and do what he loves. He really enjoys people.

I worked at the pharmacy next door during high school and college. Troy was always a good dude when I would see him. I wish him the best!

He’s been out for a while. Last I heard he was in good shape and expected to make a complete recovery.

Troy is an awesome guy. He used to cut my hair before I moved up to Zachary. I’m sad to hear this and hope he pulls through.
