What do you do/how do you react when an employee comes to you with concerns and lays out legitimate issues that could be simply solved then blows up on you when you continue to not help said employee with said concerns.

I simply explain to the employee that, while the solution may seem simple to them, that there is in fact other reasons why things are the way that they are.

Those reasons cannot be communicated to said employee because of privacy/security concerns.

I appreciate your frustration, but things have to be this way for now.

Bother me with this again and you're fired.

Your boss has zero respect for you and/or if he has a boss, has no respect from his/her own boss.

Either way, the blow up should probably be met with a firing. Insubordination in the workplace is something I have no tolerance for after hearing concerns and decisions have been made.

A competent employee fixes the issue then tells you they did it.

If the issues could simply be solved, why haven't you solved the issues?

Seems pretty lazy to not address the issues.

Why aren't you helping them solve them? Just curious, are they personal concerns?

I can’t fix problems that other shifts create. My main issue is my job has stuck me with supervisor duties without paying me or promoting me. I went above and beyond thinking it would earn me a promotion and instead I am expected to continue that work ethic with no reward. It’s been 4 years like this. I work for UPS.

Depends on who it is. The creepy assistant manager? His uptight bitch of a girlfriend? The cool guy salesman? The slightly retarded dude? The sixties burnout? The chubby but sweet lady? The Indian chick who sleeps around?

Because the issues are above my pay grade. I can’t tell someone what to do. They give me a radio like im a supervisor then ignore me when I use it. I called my supervisor out today and he flipped on me cause I embarrassed the frick out of him.

Then it doesn't seem the issues are simple to fix and you should tell your employee it's out of your control. Then tell them if they ever "blow up" on you again they can kick rocks.

That’s a pretty specific situation that I’ve never had to deal with
