It was the realization that it was about to cause a problem with my marriage. There was no way that I was going to let it even come close to causing a problem with my family so I quit. There was no official rock bottom, but I could see it in the future

This one time, we were sitting around so stoned that this one dude started swearing up and down that he saw another dude across the room poke his finger up his dog's arse - twice.

23 years old. Playing live music, partying everyday, neglecting bills and smoking dope. All the while working offshore pissing my money away. Truck got repossessed. Bought a 1991 Mazda B2200 truck with cash for $600 with no insurance or registration. Ate once a day.

It got real bad including near death several times, but apparently that wasn’t bad enough. My family pushing away is what did it. Haven’t drank since 3/28/12.

Lost everything. Essentially died a few times. Living in a trap house with someone else's old needles sticking out of me. Dope sick all the time. Not fun
