Some sharp colors and some rather um, interesting colors this year. $725 for the boots, $695 for the shoes. Chump change for an OT baller. AE website.

In the days of wearing a suit 5 days a week I could understand the expense. Nowadays, this seems hard to justify.

Well, you can get the sneakers in any of those colors right now. They are a bargain at $595. ;-)

Guess you didn't notice the boots. Those Higgins Mills are pretty comfortable.

Higgins Mill Boot is all I wear. I have Black and Brown. Dainite soles. I highly recommend. I wear with a suit and with casual attire.

Allen Edmonds are uniquely comfortable dress shoes for those of us with wide feet.

I wear my strands with jeans.

I have several pair of Higgins. Very comfortable. The chromexel ones are my French Quarter boots. ;-). I got a pair of shell burgundy when they were on sale, very comfortable.

I need to give a pair of boots a try. I already have 3 dress shoes, sneakers and tux shows that I love. Guess it's time for boots.

I have a pair of the boots top right in a lighter brown. Loved them right out of the box and they are WP. Get a lot of use out of them up in AK.

In the early 2000's when I had to wear a suit or at least a button up shirt daily I would wear AE's. They last a long time and don't kill your feet like cheap dress shoes.

I wouldn't wear them with a suit, personally, but I agree that these are great boots.

Alden shoes are definitely better constructed as a whole, but their designs leave a lot to be desired.
