That’s what you say to sound patriotic, right?

The thing is that people will “tolerate” her if the team is winning. But once the team loses, people will throw her under the bus again. Our culture is so obsessed with winning that they’re willing to flip flop our stance and value. And when our team loses, we’re first to make the athlete the villain to make us better about ourselves.
