The funniest thing about all of this is that a bunch of armchair quarterback investors think they knew exactly what they were doing when an essentially random investment of theirs takes off. I swear it's like talking to a gambler that only tells you when he wins.

Mother fricker go read wikis post on why btc would take off. Personally think ethereum will be the crypto to really take off but wiki and many other preached about btc way ahead of time and gave legit reasons why it was the future

Listen dick, it's not the future. Not one single company I deal with or buy good/services from accepts it. There are a handful of other companies who say they accept it but they don't. They go through a 3rd party who immediately converts it into US dollars for them.
What else Wiki said: It will bring down governments and crash the US currency market. Yeah, none of that happened. Absolutely none of it. And he specifically said, "DON'T BUY NOW" when it was at like $1000. Those were his exact words. I remember. You fools act like he was pumping this up so that everyone could get rich. He literally did the exact opposite of that.
I and at least one other person said we would post up our tax returns and bank statements if he would post his "ownings statement" of bitcoin. He wouldn't do it.

In fairness though, a lot of those guys were saying Bitcoin would never be a viable currency. I think they’re probably right.

Of course we are. And we stated very thoroughly that block chain technology is the gold in this pile of shite. That has the potential to change things. This currenc.....investm....whatever it is, probably isn't it. It's almost 9 years old and it's still not accepted anywhere but a few small places (that don't immediately convert).
And I've stated a hundred times, I hope everyone becomes rich as frick and dumps it. The ones holding at the end are the losers.

It's weird that two guys, I'm guessing in their 50s, are so intent on proving how much money they have to a bunch of college aged people and people in their 30s.

I'm not a dick, just get so tired of everyone saying wiki is arm chair quarterbacking. And yea it hasn't brought down countries but it is being used like crazy in countries that are failing.
And I'm the biggest loser of them all, I could have gotten in at $2 for a few hundred, could have kept the couple dozen btc I have brought throughout the last 7 or so years. All while I understood the technology and believed in it. shite a month before the middle November fork was supposed to happen I got one of my co-workers to buy in, they have made 13k in the last month.
of course I never thought it would get above 1k and definitely never above 10k.
ethereum is still the future though if you go by who is backing it.

Why do you believe in it? What specifically do you believe in? What is it actually supposed to do that the US dollar can't? What's so ground breaking that I need to have some of this? I can't think of one thing honestly.
