I could be completely wrong, but I don't think any type of e-currency will ever replace physical currency.

Even if it isn't used as much, there will always be hard currency. IMO, I think it would be too risky not to have hard currency.

Bookmark me then. If I'm wrong in 3 months, I'll be glad to apologize.

It's worth noting that apparently only about a thousand people hold 40% of the bitcoin.

There is no “if”. You are ill-informed. Don’t need an apology from you.

It’s funny to see even 4 years later posters bring up “only 21 million bitcoins!!!”. I remember when posters would question wiki “what’s going to happen when all 21 million are mined? It’ll be worthless then” lol

stock in enron used to be a status symbol as well

all fake currencies eventually go to be worth nothing but just like penny stocks, you can make bank as long as you cash out before the train wreck that nobody knows if that is 1 minute or 5 years away

And, IIRC, he had claimed to be in it for a while at that point.

I agree with the previous poster. He either died from too much partying or he lost of all his shite when Mt. Gox stole everybody's bitcoin and shut down and is deep underground, plotting a Punisher style revenge spree.

He was right when everyone was against him. But he was right when no one was buying. That's the big one. To be in a room when you're saying REVOLUTION and everyone thinks you're CRAZY, you're generally crazy. Except he adopted the revolution when no one knew about it and everyone thought it was stupid.

The day will come when owning 1 BTC is the only fact you could tell someone and they'll equate it to being upper class money.

Wherever you are, cheers to hope. Hope you were hodling at least a little through all these times.

Yeah I don't know when he sold or anything. I just know he was talking about it when it was cheap as shite. I got in at $50ish but I wasn't investing.

Sotoshi could be dead or have lost his keys. If either is true then his coins are gone from the market forever.

The supply is much less than 21 million.
