I thought I’d drop a little glimmer of hope for you boys. Things take time to recover but when that pendulum swings, it swings HARD. Two years later and my financial position is muuuuch better. I’m not in a steady relationship yet but I’ve dated more in the past 6 months than I would’ve thought possible. Women are desperate once they get past the age of ~38 and it’s been quite delightful. This is not a bragging thread. I needed to read something like this 2 or 3 years ago and hopefully this gives one of you guys a glimmer of hope: it’s out there.

I hope you’re right. It’s not easy for me to find a date yet, but I’m sure part of it is my mentality. I’m only on month 4 of separation. My new therapist seems to be a winner, so that’s a plus.

I’ve never been happier

Maybe that’s also because I’ve never been married

some are. I wouldn't say most. they all still think they're 8s 9s and 10s looking for someone out of their league. there are plenty available to date though.

I’ve been happy as can be since 1979 when I met the woman I’m married to now and since 1985.

OP is correct
I divorced (for the second time) almost four years ago. My transition was pretty easy, but I saw the writing on the wall, and had prepped.
My financial situation improved the second I kicked that bitch out.
My physical and mental well being was the best of my adult life within two years, and has remained better than at any point in time during any of the 20 years I wasted on subpar women.
Pussy-wise, it took about 6 months until I got into the swing of things, but has only progressed since. I haven’t committed to anyone, but that’s completely out of choice. I frick, but am picky AF about getting serious. I don’t want to expose my family to women that should not be worth more than a frick ever again, and I can identify that within 5 minutes of meeting a female.
And I have never used a dating app.
I was a simp
Never again

Seems like just yesterday when your biggest problems were having to see BLM and rainbow flags while on vacation.

Life comes at you fast.

I've said this on many divorce threads:

Best thing that ever happened!

Not all women (not all people) are shady, liars and cheats.

Women age like milk, men age like wine. Tell that to your friend.

It's also easy to settle for a shitty situation and unhappiness because you think you have to stay married no matter what or it's a failure.

People grow apart, shite happens, people move on.

Sometimes that wine is Boone’s Farm, though.

I think that thread was misconstrued, but little did I know I was already headed for worse problems with the wife.

Sometimes, it does get better.

You move on, you (hopefully) become better coparents than you were partners.

You find love again and someone who appreciates you.

You get to live life instead of coming home to soul killing misery every day

I’m glad this is helping your mental health but at the end of the day these people are no different than you giving you their advice and listening to you for money. You’ll find someone eventually bud, no need to rush into things.

You've just got to find a woman who likes the little things in life

like your penis.
