Tell the McDonald’s manager you need off.
If he says no, find a new job.

If you aren't a heathen, then the time of year shouldn't affect the comfort of the wedding.

So you’re fine with fall weddings too
But what does “heathen” have to do with it?

What's the problem here?
Sometimes it's just unavoidable for various reasons that a couple ends up having their wedding in the fall. Other times, it feels like some kind of weird friendship test.
Had one acquaintance schedule his wedding on LSU/Auburn weekend when the game was in BR. While the couple didn't go to LSU, most of their friends and nearly all of their family did. They were ADAMANT that no tvs would be present during the reception and that anyone who wanted to watch the game on their phone was free to not attend the ceremony/reception. It was a weird attitude like they wanted people to make a conscious choice between the couple and watching the game.
I did not attend that wedding.

Get married in a church and you don't have to experience ball sweltering July temps.

What game do you plan on watching on a Friday at noon?
As for as weddings during football. Football is my thing. I love it. Friday night weddings are okay. Saturday weddings... I will not go.
A relative of mine is a huge Notre Dame fan. Not just a casual fan, I mean ND football is everything. He has a friend who has a plane and they fly in to one ND game a year. He is a member of the ND version of TAF.
Anyway, his uncle got married on a Saturday and someone asked him why he didn't go and his response "he shouldn't have scheduled it on a day Notre Dame plays". That's pretty much my line of thinking during football season.

1) so you’re a heathen if you don’t?
2) what if it’s an old church with no AC?

Get ready for some real high temps!

There is always something. You have to plan your wedding when it works for you. You are a crap friend if you bitch about missing one game to stand in someone's wedding.
I will give you that the Friday rehearsal lunch is annoying.

Don’t plan on getting married in the summer

Yea. Generally they are cool, but there are certain, specific areas that they are kinda out there on and they aren't very accepting of those that don't think the way they do with respect to those things.
Chick is kinda weird. Big time liberal, but an even bigger Catholic. Like she knew her calling in life was to be a catholic school religion teacher when she was 10. Let's just say she can come off as rather judgmental.

It's hellfire for you, boy.
I'm getting married in the summer. Probably in an old church with no AC. Greece is backwards like that.

Yea I’m not going to bitch about it
Especially if it’s a specific venue that you have your heart set on
If it happens to be South Carolina-Georgia , so be it.
