We know how weddings “work”. What I’m confused about is you agreeing to being in a wedding on a Saturday and thinking you were working on Friday.

It's hellfire for you, boy.

I'm getting married in the summer. Probably in an old church with no AC. Greece is backwards like that.

I’ve had a few friends so far get married
Only one in church.

It’s not that we are heathens, just not really religious. Doesn’t play a major part in our lives
The one guy who got married in the church was because the rich father of the bride is catholic. He’s not, he had to actually convert to Catholicism for the church they got married in to allow him to be married there

You work on Friday?

I'm not sure I'd call it work but I'm physically present.

I’ve been to maybe 2 non-church weddings. And who knows how many church, mainly catholic, weddings. Probably 50+

I am religious but I'm not a dick about it.

Outside summer weddings do suck, I agree. However, I'll take it over missing football. I am a hick.

I guess since we have been so mediocre, I’ve lost it?
If we were Bama maybe I’d feel different

Would you have missed the SECC y'all had a few years ago?

I had to miss the wedding of a decent(not close) friend back in 2009 because his wedding was during the Bama v UF game where I had 45 yard line tickets. Sorry Will.

Our wedding anniversary is usually the first football weekend every year. Sometimes I'm at games instead of doing anniversary stuff. The wife doesn't care; she's bought me game tickets before.

Depends on the wedding, very good friend or family member
Wouldn’t miss

Some guy who was in my fraternity that sent me an invite to fill seats.
Yes

Of course this is 27 year old me saying that
Back when it was the SECCG i was 18 so would have said frick everyone
Even if my brother was getting married (since I’d be the best man)

That was my situation. I wasn't in the wedding.

Anyone who would have me in their wedding would have the sense to have a Spring or Summer wedding.

At least it’s a Friday. My last two weddings I was in the rehearsal was Thursday. It’s hard to leave work early on a Thursday. THEN drive 1.5 hours for a rehearsal party your supposed to get drunk at. Then drive home and work a whole day Friday.
