You might have a point if I had just started the one thread. But this is now two threads about LSU students launching food businesses. And if I see another similar story I'll post about that too...assuming someone doesn't beat me to it.
And the only common denominator between both is my appreciation of what it takes to start your own business.
And, of course, for my love for all things LSU related.

Not buying it. The vision and courage bit was too much

Good stuff. I can finally diversify my options from Pluckers or an akasha burger

And a lot of us never go there...
I read this as more about business and initiative.
Pretty impressive, IMO.

Some people on this board seem to not like successful people that have their own business.
It takes a set (IDK about courage) to jump out their and do your own deal, no matter where the backing comes from. I wish these girls well.

I'll never eat there since I'm too old for Tigerland, but sounds like a good idea to me. Hopefully they do well.

It's cute they get all their friends to leave the positive reviews

There's that, but there's also some people who are just way too cynical, and and see conspiracies everywhere. Sounds like a lot of effort for no good reason.

Which is my angle on this. It took me years before I struck out on my own...and I was literally crossing my fingers when I did.
I guess being in college would be a great time to start a business, if you could manage your time well.

Same. And I wish all student businesses well. And I hope to see more stories like these.

Tonelli's "Junkyard" fries are the last word in fries smothered in cheese.

i like how we've tried to make incredibly simple cheese fries sound both gourmet and visionary.
Good on them for working but it sounds like they are ordering precut fries, shredded cheese, 5 simple toppings (also pre-made) and heating them up. Let's not get crazy here.

So which one of the menu items will reference eating arse in a bar?
Posted on 7/18/15 at 4:58 pm to TigersOfGeauxld
So they are selling frozen bagged fries that they buy and topping then with pre shredded bagged cheese. I'm sure they'll make a lot of money but god damn that makes me
just lazy and pathetic

Need some with roast beef and horseradish

i mean they're a food truck trying to own an area of college bars with post-drinking finger food. you shouldn't expect them to try and figure out a way to add crème fraîche. at the end of the day they're running a business and need to appeal to their market.
*ETA: and the OP is definitely related to these girls biologically or socially

How are you related to these girls?
This is a not so thinly veiled advertisement.
