The kid was probably still “deadnamed” on drivers license and college applications and so on. This just seems like a stunt for attention.
All the histrionics with trans. It like the “holla” type gay male can’t stand tolerance and has to create drama. Their narcissism needs the drama and attention. Changing name and clothes can’t change biology. They can keep trying to force this crap, but nothing will change the fact of their biology. They need help to accept biology not get placated.
Regardless high schools use official name & more specifically first and last name for IDs, records, diplomas, and so on. A teacher will ask if they have a nickname or prefer something else, but that doesn’t change what’s on official stuff.
Our youngest goes by middle name which was listed on birth certificate. Teachers would adjust and use middle name, but on high school ID, diploma, transcripts, and name called and also under the picture on screen while getting diploma all used first name with last name (middle initial included for a couple). Similar with any kid going by a nickname included a shortened version of first name. If we or anyone wanted to change that we would have had to legally change our kids’ names and then submit those changes to district.

This is the fricking problem. I couldn't imagine going to my parents and saying "I like to be referred to as ___________ and the school refuses to refer to me as that name instead of my legal name".
But if I were in HS today, I would come up with a name (something inappropriate) and say I want to be referred to it and then argue that if someone else got to be referred to as something other than their real name then I should get to be referred to as what I wanted to be referred to and that just because people think its inappropriate that doesn't mean it is and that's not fair to me.

How many people in this thread knows a tranny? I know OF a few people who has a kid that evidently identifies as something other than what they are, but I don't know them.
I've never seen such a small percentage of the population get so much attention.
