The fact that, in the Victorian Era, they went so far as to design clothes around being able to keep a perfumed handkerchief in your sleeve to stick in front of your nose to avoid smelling others BO is amazing. Why didn't someone say "let's all just start washing ourselves" instead? It isn't as if they didn't have access to water. They have had plumbing as far back as the Romans. Or walk your stinky arse down to the river or lake and handle business. Maybe not twice a day but once a week or so at least. The funk of stinky people and open sewage must have been like Bourbon Street at the end of Mardi Gras week all year long.

If I do have to debase myself and get sweaty, I will take a night shower.

If I took a hot shower twice a day, my skin and hair would be dry af. I don't even take hot showers at all anymore. I go lukewarm.

I’ll admit. I sometimes get into bed dirty if I didn’t work out or get seriously sweaty. But I cannot start my day without a hot shower. Have also been known to shower before playing golf and usually before hunting.

I work in an office and only shower at night, but I'm in the gym after work. There is never a weekday morning that I don't want to go back to bed, and no shower is going to jolt me out of it. I envy the people who get charged up from a morning shower.

I cant imagine getting into bed at night without showering. Working all day and and sweating and then getting into bed at night without showering is insane and disgusting.

I find it interesting that the internet loses its collective shite at people who wear their "street clothes" on the sofa or who keep their shoes on in the house, but simultaneously don't think it is gross to go to bed without bathing.
Maybe the Venn Diagram of these two groups does not intersect or something.

Usually just an evening shower is needed however folks who just go to bed after a day of work or going out is more disgusting than not taking a shower in the AM.
