Why did you have to go to rehab? Why didn’t you just use mental strength to do it?

Because I didnt listen to my mother and father.

I did, I told myself I needed to get clean and got clean. Much more than I can say about most people. Most of you cant imagine life without alcohol.

When the addiction bugs hit your family, you wont be smiling. Good luck, and the odds arent with you.

So, you worked yourself into a bad spot and couldn’t get out of it just on your own so you sought help.

But frick people that try to do the same?

You cant possibly be comparing a physical addiction to people being overweight?

Theres no drug to overcome addiction big cat. Everything to get where I am had to be all me. No ozpemic to make you stop drinking and drugging, thats 100% on you.

Dont believe me, ask your doctor. Theres nothing they can do for you when you are addicted, nothing. There isnt some magic pill or an injectable for you to lean on.

Also, many of these folks dont need it and are clear minded thus knowingly lying for some vanity. They arent even using a substance to think like this, this is them as a person.

You just admitted that you personally weren't mentally strong to resist drugs yet you can’t comprehend someone else being not being mentally strong enough to resist other things?

Are you suggesting that the guy who is an alcoholic and sobers up is a better man than the guy who is overweight and chooses to use Ozempic to lose weight?

That's a strange value system you have.

I quit booze cold turkey without rehab. Get stronger bro

Sounds kinda holier than thou and counterproductive, right?

Thats correct.

Food is not equal to alcohol/drugs as far as addictions go. If you believe they are thats fine, we will disagree forever on that topic so no point in discussing it.

They wont go into any kind of seizure if they dont eat, they will just get skinner. Much different type of addiction but I dont doubt that people think about food all day. But it doesnt have a hook like this other stuff.

No, the alcoholic is still a piece of shite for getting himself in that situation, that never changes. Hell, depending on what he/she did during these times might make them an even bigger piece of shite it just depends.

The determination to beat the addiction is the key to the alcoholic/addict. Most will fail and never stay clean, not even for a year. Most cannot retain their previous lifestyle, etc etc. The numbers are atrocious.

No one is a bad person for taking Ozempic, they are lazy for taking Ozempic unless they have legitimate medical reason. Its really simple.

I know 2 people on Ozempic (probably more, but only 2 admitted it). Both of them claim it is mostly their new exercise regimen and alcohol abstinence led to their 40 lb weight loss.

1. Are they on Ozempic or Mounjaro? Ozempic is not prescribed for weight loss. It is prescribed for diabetes.

2. Those who take Ozempic for diabetes do experience weight loss. Weight loss varies by dose. People on 0.5 mg lose an average of 10 lbs. People on 1 mg of Ozempic lose about 13 lbs. People on 2mg (the max dose) of Ozempic lose around 14 lbs.

quote:

Cutting drinking and adding exercise are wonderful, but it seemed odd to not give credit to the drug. I mean maybe they lost 5 lbs from the exercise and alcohol cessation

3. Maybe you should stop be a noisy and jealous little biotch and mind your own business before you get your fatty mcfatass butt kicked.

4. I have seen a lot of patients be prescribed semaglutide and not lose a single pound because they cannot make themselves exercise, eat less, or stop drinking. The appetite suppression caused by semaglutide can be overridden if the desire to be a fatass is strong enough and the desire is strong in a lot.

quote:

Wondering if anyone else has noticed this from Ozempic/Mounjaro users

No. I tell them good job and go on about my day. Of course I am not a jealous fatty mcfatass so I do not care.

You dont need a drug to help you with your lifestyle changes. You need a clear mind.

Well clearly some people do need that help

Life, friend. Training for life. Let’s both hit that huge incline at Tunica Hills and see who’s huffing and puffing after. Let’s compare resting heart rates. A lot of people commit 15% effort and like to hate on the people who actually try. I don’t dislike you for it, I wish you cared more about yourself to be the best version of yourself.

Just checked, you can only bench like 205 and can’t do 3 pull-ups but want to talk shite
