Doubtful. Most likely car service.
Which is safer all around.
They possibly justify the flying costs based on safety concerns of driving in NOLA and risk of getting shot or carjacked, which is considered high for most of the world that lives north of I-12

This is the kind of stuff done by plaintiff attorneys to tarnish the insurance industry
Insurance is for profit. It’s not some socialist scheme.
Louisiana has too few carriers willing to do business here. This is part of the reason. They get tarnished. The legal environment is bad. We have massive hurricanes.
It’s a tough place to make a buck in the insurance business.
We all suffer with high prices.
How to fix that? Attract more carriers. Create a vibrant market. A thiriving market creates a competetive environment that benefits the consumer.
What does Louisiana need less of? Plaintiff attorneys. How do we do that? Tort reform.
But our governor is in bed with plaintiff attorneys. It’s perverted because he calls himself a Republican. Bs. He’s a politician and wants to get elected.

Can these dipshits even specifically say what lines of business this "insurance company" even writes in LA when we are bitching about homeowners and personal auto insurance?

Pretty sure the CEO lives in Covington.
Covington to HDC to NEW is fricking retarded and saves zero time, but who knows what those trips are really for. I cant imagine its just commuting the CEO.
A lot of it could be repositioning the jet for others to use out of HDC or NEW.

Someone with a jet access like that chooses to live in Hammond?
It really just underscores how badly he doesn't want to live in New Orleans

Are there tax advantages for these short runs? Can you write off more operating costs or depreciation? There’s gotta be a reasonable explanation

I would be, toasting the stupidity of the Louisiana insurance consumer.

Tort reform.
Start with tort reform NOW. Both sides will have to compromise. From the Governor on down, fix it now or they will not get re-elected. We are all getting fricked

This pure speculation, but if I had to guess:

Pilatus PC-24 (twin-jet)
So based my previous post…now that it is not a Cessna. The PC-24 costs:
quote:
Fuel is a significant part of the overall operating cost of a PC-24. Fuel costs can range from $320 to $480 per hour, according to Just Aviation.
So, I am still not outraged. 300 dollars an hour premium in fuel costs to fly instead of using 20 dollars of gas and not have to sit in traffic. All this cost, probably gets put on the P&L and absorbed by other business costs just means they will pay less in taxes.
The State Senator is a class warfare idiot.

It’s a private company spending their money how they wants. Not really controversial.
I hate insurance companies too, but come on.
maybe, just maybe, if they would be more generous with their payouts for claims for their enrollees, vs. doing shite like this, maybe, just maybe everyone would be better off for it.... just a thought...
how many claims do they have to deny/shortchange to afford to offset the cost of these trips? private or not, it's fricked up
