Go drive your car to downtown NOLA and leave it unlocked

You are actually comparing downtown New Orleans to Watercolor, FL to crawfish (baw term...look at me...IM A BAW!!) out of a stupid comment.

And no one said that the house was unlocked.

Seems like pretty typical stupid "kid" shite that could have happened in any era to me, but what do I know?

When I was a kid we might have had a party in a field that was private property or something like that.

These "kids" stole jewelry, intentionally destroyed clothing, and threw the children's toys on the roof and recorded themselves doing it to post on social media.

This isn't a bunch of idiots that left tire ruts in a field. These "kids" knew this was wrong, they just don't understand consequences because they run their parents and schools don't discipline anymore.

Same reason the crowds are taking over the streets and jumping on police cars in NOLA and BR.

There won't be any real consequences for this. It will be pretrial diversion and restitution that they will never pay.

Did they steal stuff? I just read the OP that didn't indicate that.

It was stupid arse shite and should be dealt with accordingly. I just think it's the type of stupid arse shite that could have happened in any time period.

Yes they stole. From the local newspaper:

Several pieces of sports memorabilia were stolen, with another photo on social media showing a person wearing five championship rings on his fingers. A video game console and clothes were among other items missing from the home.

“It’s sad that even after the fact, the kids are on Snapchat talking about this party and how they think that they’re not going to get in trouble,” Dobridnia said Tuesday. “They’ve got another thing coming.”

How do you have an 8 million dollar house with no security system?

I feel like the Florida panhandle is one of the remaining places that likely actually enforces the law. Will be interesting to see what happens.

What $8,000,000 property doesn't have any kind of security system? At that point, this is the owners fault.

I had a customer who had a $2 mil house in the Baton Rouge area. I had to go to his house so he said the front door was unlocked. Well, it wasn't just unlocked, there was no lock on it. It had been that way for at least 2 years, he just said people don't steal in neighborhoods like his.
