A Florida man's good deed is not going unnoticed after he bought over 100 generators and food to send to the Bahamas.

Alec Sprague, who lives in Jacksonville, said he went a Costco to buy a generator, and saw a man purchasing over 100 of them.

Sprague said the man was buying the generators and food to send to the Bahamas.

In a Facebook post, Sprague stated, "Was just in Costco off Collins getting a generator (at $450 each) and this guy right here is purchasing over 100 generators and food to send to the Bahamas! All I could do was shake his hand and thank him! There still are good people in the world!"

Surely he could get a better price than that direct from the distributor if he was buying that many generators. Regardless, props to him.

Florida Man does have good moments sometimes. He's a hit or miss kind of guy.

His next story will probably be about him crashing a funeral all drunk after he gets out of a strip club after an all night bender.

He’s not ordering generators. Old baw is checking out the hot dogs and asking how many the office wants.

ETA... he’s likely going to sell them to the govt for 1000 a pop. I love capitalism

An angel investor I know here in town did the same thing....

Except he sold the generators for triple their value and made 7M profit during Hurricane Ike. Tsk tsk.

Didnt click link but how is he getting them there? Is he paying for the shipping too? Is he towing them with his own barge and tug? Airport is flooded. Infrastructure is wrecked. Good intentions but definitely a fla man decision

Someone in the Bahamas will get ahold of them and sell them for $900 each.

Supply/Demand curve deems your analysis as incorrect.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they or any Home Depot, Lowe’s, whatever wouldn’t keep a 100+ in stock during hurricane and tailgate season.

He's taking them out of circulation. Running the price up or causing trouble somewhere else.

However, he may very well, mean well.
