I thought mythbusters tested this and it was shocking hard to light.

yep, there's something missing here, and when it breaks it will be the spark that ignites the flame under this whole story

Don't run from the cops and you won't get cooked alive from a taser.

This is how you know the cops are fricked, they could not claim he did anything wrong but hope to tar him enough by association to keep the heat down, frick em.

I never thought flame throwers and tasers were so compatible.

The sheriff's office said deputies tried to arrest Beretta because he was part of a group of bikers who were pointing guns at people in the county.

I'm not sure how you survive that - much less get back on the street. He's fricked for life.

And if the reason for his arrest is true, good....frick him. It's unfortunate that the job wasn't finished and he is costing more tax dollars now.

So he was waving a gun at people, ran from the po-leece, and was fighting the initial deputy, then tased?

It sounds like he was begging for a hot time, in the old town, that night. It is just karma that deputies were drawn to him, like moths to a flame?

Not necessarily. People he was with were alleged to have done this.

Did they intentionally torch him? No, but they are trained that a taser is a “less than lethal” method of stopping someone rather than cracking them with a nightstick.

What's going to burn the deputy (pun intended) is his agency's policy on Taser use. Ours stipulates not to use it near standing water, flammable liquids/gases, on pregnant women, or on subjects in an above ground structure*.

*We zapped someone on top of a garage shed and he did a face first trust fall into the driveway. Policy immediately amended.

Now kids, do you see the moment in the story where the subject, Mr. Beretta, "fricked around"?

Let's see if he finds out, shall we?

Sometimes a nightstick would be a better choice

LESS people were getting shot by police back when they would just kick arse instead of wrestling around with people until things get out of hand and get lethal. Numbers back it up. But the "optics" of hitting someone across the skull are such that municipalities don't care.
