So I see they decided to go after gullible folks with the global warming fear tactics.

The commercial is obviously silly but I have always wondered if a waterproof home could be done without jacking the costs up too much. Similar concept to those bath tubs for old people that have doors in them.

While we're at it, can we get roofs that aren't fragile AF?

Somebody tell Elon to get on it.

You'd also have to seal all the hardie board around the house.

Gotta be way better than sandbags.

Honestly this is the biggest selling point. For what you'd use sandbags for, this is far superior.

You’re only supposed to drink the bath water if a hot chick was in it first.

How do you get out once you have sealed yourself inside the house

You seal the whole house then you go in your garage, close the door, and seal it from the inside.

Supposedly, they built a whole house, used the products, then flooded the outside to 3ft. You never believe everything you see on TV....or much of any of it, I guess.

I’m going to go out on a limb and say that’s bullshite:

They went way too far with the fish.

As far as feasibility goes, once water makes its way to your door you aren’t keeping it out. Maybe you can slow the ingress by sealing up all of your doors/windows/etc. but the vast majority of homes will have permeable materials that can’t be sealed up, in addition to small cracks & crevices that the user will simply miss.

I could see it potentially being a substitute for sandbags in a scenario where flood waters recede quickly, but I’d probably feel better about using sandbags honestly.

ETA: I say that because while sandbags leak too, at least you have the space between your house and the bags as a buffer. If the flood waters stay high long enough to fully leak through sandbags, I don’t see this product helping either.

It would probably work for wind-driven rain, but at that point why not just board the windows?

That is the biggest bunch of hooey I have ever seen in my life. Sure, seal all the doors and windows, then watch the water leak in where the studs meet the foundation.
