Brand new commercial for the new product line

Of course, the first few lines of the commercial are going to send the conversation down a certain road, but I just wonder how useful it could be?

Supposedly, they built a whole house, used the products, then flooded the outside to 3ft. You never believe everything you see on TV....or much of any of it, I guess. Maybe for smaller homes built on a simple floor plan it could be of some use, or some businesses.

I'm just curious what folks who have had to deal with floods think about it, and if you'd actually try it?

Reed Timmer is a believer in Flexseal products, but he's also sponsored by them. He's been hyping this launch for a while now.

Well, I wouldn't recommend that.

I don't believe anything I see on TV and only about half of stuff I see in real life.

Realism, baw. They didn't have the balls or the budget for a gator, though.

So keeps most of the water out while keeping all the water that gets in, in. Great invention.

Either use your team of people to get you out, or don't do that.

If you do, don't forget your axe.

1) you would need to seal every opening to the house. doors windows, brick weep holes

2) the house and all the doors/windows garage doors would need to be able to support the weight of the water outside

3) you need enough time to install ahead of a coming flood

4) if said flood doesn't come, how much damage to you get removing the product.

5)

I was wondering how you get IN the house once you seal every entrance. I bet it works though. Flex seal is good stuff. I’d try it tbh. Flooding sucks. Gotta be way better than sandbags.

Water would get in the weep holes for sure but it’ll drain back out once the flood water goes down. I wouldn’t open up the can of worms of finding out what mold etc may grow in there after the flood. Water gets in those spaces anyways. That’s why the weep holes are there. To relieve water behind the bricks

Yeah it would suck if the windows broke from the pressure. But this could be super useful for those who are only worried about water possibly coming through doors. Just seal the doors. Windows on most houses are a foot or two higher anyways

That disclaimer at 1:55 is more than I expected.

I'm sure the product can help in some situations.

At the end it shows them pealing it off. I imagine it is a liquid silicone that you brush on. After it cures it just peels off.
