They fired him a while back. He didn't want a long tour, they did. He must have been right to want to avoid a long tour because he had a heart attack doing nothing.

Lindsey Buckingham wrote most of the songs as well. Even if he wanted to he just came off open heart surgery in February so a reunion won't happen. The surgery led to vocal cord damage as well.
