I agree. Inevitable this guy was destined to kill himself. IMO it was all just a publicity stunt, designed to draw attention to himself. Maybe he thought some rich guy would eventually offer a prize ($) if he would take that piece of junk he assembled to a designated height? Still I wonder, did he have a rear view mirror on that contraption? And if so did he have an "Oh S##t Moment" when he saw that parachute fluttering away from his rocket? I think so.

Regardless he had his 15 minutes of fame. By the way....the earth is still round.

Government took him out. He was close.....damn close.

What's even more sad is that he may have gotten up high enough to realize he was wrong the whole time.
