Cry less. This is how it has been and will continue to be for every big game.

Need more people like you with common sense!

Of course the traffic is going to be shite after 100,000 people just leave a football game lol

The enforcement sucks, but the entire contraflow plan is trash.

They need a cop by Canes because after the game, cars will park IN THE LANE while they wait for the drive thru line.

The contra flow are always published- you just gotta park where you can access where you need to go.
We live near riverbend subdivision and we have to park near river road. If we park closer to Nicholson or further east we can’t get home.

It’s almost like the want it to take as long as possible to bilk the taxpayers for as much overtime as possible. Typical clown show for Louisiana. That will never change or improve

Was really impressed with how easy it was to get off of Mizzou's campus last week

This is one of main reasons I don't go to nearly as many games as I used to. As I get older, my patience is short and dealing with intoxicated drivers, detours and sitting in one place forever takes a lot of the enjoyment out of the experience! Sadly, I don't think there is any way to solve the issue!

The issue is that the police on the ground don’t follow the published plan. They frequently send people in random directions that change game to game. I remember parking near skip bertman drive one season. In 4 games, I was sent in 4 completely different directions: once to river road and then north, once to nicholson then north, once to nicholson then south on Burbank to Staring, and finally to nicholson and south all the way to Bluebonnet before they let me turn left. On the contraflow map, that lot was supposed to go north.

I routinely see police vehicles blocking entire lanes of traffic for no reason, failing to control intersections, and sending vehicles into chokepoints while restricting turns for no reason. They really do need to ditch 90% of the leo presence on gameday and eliminate contraflow because they still haven’t figured it out after ten years plus of trying.

The Burbank/Lee situation lacks all common sense.

I parked in the Alex Box lot (408) and stayed till the end of the game. Was expecting the worst getting out. We were slow going for about 15 minutes but once I got on Gourrier and crossed to Burbank I really never stopped moving and it kicked up to full speed past Lee. Turned left on Staring and back to my neighborhood in about 35 minutes total. All things considered I’ll take it.

Now from what I could see - Nicholson headed towards Lee was a parking lot. Burbank was 4 lanes, then down to 3 then down to 2 by the time you got to Boyd. Slow going but always moving at least.

Forced to go to Nicholson from lot 108 on Bertman. Went almost 2 blocks in 1 hour.
The more things change, the more they remain the same.

After Tebow's last game in BR, took me 1.5 hours to get from the lot next to the stadium to Nicholson (about 100 yards).

You either leave early or hang out for a bit and let it die down. There are no other options.

contraflow after the games was one of the key deciding factors when we gave up our option to buying season tickets back in the day... it mainly had to do with our kid getting older and us only having 2 tickets, but knowing we also wouldn't have to sit in fricking traffic for 2 hours, trying to get back to Geismar, after an all day affair on campus, made it a little easier to digest...

Three things in life you can count on: death, taxes and some jerkoff complaining about post-game traffic.

This is why I park at the Lakes on Stanford. I used to tailgate with family members but we stopped bc our kids got older and had things prior to lsu games. Then they kept changing the pots so was fed up with it.

Took me 30 minutes to get to my vehicle. 15 minutes to get home after leaving the parking lot.

We live in the same area. I always park in the old dairy school lots off River Road because it's the only way you can get home. Gave up parking passes long ago because of this.

Nope. I parked on South Stadium drive, backed out, and on road in no time. Wasn't bad at all.

I agree. We try to park as close to River road as possible- I remember when we first moved out to the area
We parked by walkons and couldn’t get home till the contra flow stopped.
