5 is unnecessary if doing 1. If you are getting the proper amount of fruits and veggies, that is doing what most of the alcohol does for the body plus other things.

1 - somewhat
2 - not quite enough but close
3 - yes
4 - yes
5 - yes if you average football season with the rest of the year

Guess I’m doing okay

Life expectancy was inversely related to levels of rurality. In 2005-2009, those in large metropolitan areas had a life expectancy of 79.1 years, compared with 76.9 years in small urban towns and 76.7 years in rural areas. When stratified by gender, race, and income, life expectancy ranged from 67.7 years among poor black men in nonmetropolitan areas to 89.6 among poor Asian/Pacific Islander women in metropolitan areas. Rural-urban disparities widened over time. In 1969-1971, life expectancy was 0.4 years longer in metropolitan than in nonmetropolitan areas (70.9 vs 70.5 years). By 2005-2009, the life expectancy difference had increased to 2.0 years (78.8 vs 76.8 years). The rural poor and rural blacks currently experience survival probabilities that urban rich and urban whites enjoyed 4 decades earlier. Causes of death contributing most to the increasing rural-urban disparity and lower life expectancy in rural areas include heart disease, unintentional injuries, COPD, lung cancer, stroke, suicide, and diabetes.

It's obvious that all of the "worst" life expectancy states are also the most obese states.

Not surprising.

Same with alcohol. 2 bottles of wine a night ain’t good but what about 2 glasses a night?

It's 1 glass or 1 drink for women. 1-2 for men. Anything more is un healthy.

Not sure about all that.

Nuts are very high-end calorie and tend to tear up your gums and rectum.

Fruit is just concentrated simple sugar, like a Coke.

Most of the people I see every day don't smoke, but would probably benefit from trading a cigarette or two per day for a snack.

"No healthy level" is a sure sign of bullshite, unless you're talking about a bullet.

30 minutes exercise per day is overkill if you're running. If you're lifting weights, you probably need more of a recovery period than that.

I really think stress plays a larger role than most of that crap anyway.

Not to argue with Harvard Medical School, but this list leaves out any mental effects on longevity.

Not just staying out of the dems inner cities (as has been mentioned by another poster), and suicides; mental competence in elderly life is essential.

5. Moderate alcohol intake, which was measured as between 5 and 15 grams per day for women, and 5 to 30 grams per day for men. Generally, one drink contains about 14 grams of pure alcohol. That’s 12 ounces of regular beer, 5 ounces of wine, or 1.5 ounces of distilled spirits.

Key takeaways-
Healthy physical activity being just 30/minutes a day
Who tf measures alcohol in grams?

they could have just said for most people its one drink.
Your choice of a beer, a shot or a glass of wine.

Is there a carry over clause? I don’t drink Sunday -Thursday but I can go through a bottle of wine or two over the weekend.

Good baseline. Quitting smoking before 30 is important. Red meat is not unhealthy. Pretty good doe.

I function best with 9-10 hours of sleep. At this time I have no need to stay up late for anything.
