It's a damn shame we will never have one in Louisiana.

You put a Buc-ees on that exit past the outlet mall on I-10 in Gonzales and they could print money. What is that highway, 44? We had a yard there when we built a pipeline back in 2001.
Same thing up in God's country in NE LA. Put one in Calhoun on I-20.

Technically it's a convenience store and the New Braunfels location is the record holder for world's largest.
Not for long.
"The famous Buc-ee’s in New Braunfels, once lauded as the biggest travel center ever will lose its title when a new Buc-ee’s in Tennessee opens and becomes the world’s largest convenience store."

Security would be its biggest overhead cost.
Politicians with their hands out would be the biggest cost and also the reason they didn’t end up coming here 6 years ago.
You do you Louisiana.

Yep. That's 44. There's an amazing Exxon gas station there called Popingos. Their fried chicken is delicious.
We live about 5 minutes away and would love to see a Buc-Eees open there.

nope. They encourage it.

Thank your Democrat Governor for that! He didn't encourage Buckees or help with tax breaks. One was scheduled be built on I12 close to Hammond.

Never have I ever seen so many white people walk around so aimlessly without a purpose .

But not one squeegee at the pumps

Near the original Disney world location?

It’s a great gas station. There is none better.
But it’s still just a gas station.
Stop with your blasphemy. It is waaaaaaaay more than just a gas station.

I’ll never stop at the one in Foley, AL again, but will always stop at the one in Terrell. AL is still great, but way too many fricking people

I’m not sure what’s more louisiana. The deep desire for a gas station to show up, or that said gas station won’t show up.

Yes, that's obvious for anyone who's been there. I go out of my way to stop at Buc-ee's when I can.

It’s obscene not only the foot traffic in a Buc-ees but also the auto traffic at the pumps. I would have never figured that a gas station on steroids would pull people in by droves just to use a clean restroom and buy some jerky. What’s worse is the amount of people that just leave their cars at the pumps to go spend 30 minutes in there shopping. That can’t be good for fuel sales.
Bottom line, I try to avoid Buc-ees at all costs during peak times but honestly we meet at the Wharton location before duck hunts and it will be packed at 0500. I am like WTF? Do people roll out of the rack and say, let’s go to Buc-ees?

And Queenisha at the register checking you out that says nothing other than “would you like a receipt.” When you leave she goes back to watching TikTok videos made to Lil Boosie songs.
Stupid. They would never hire her.
Chic Fil A works fine here in Louisiana because they pay attention to who they hire especially as managers.

I think it’s a safe spot to stop at any hour. Other gas stations can seem shady after dark or in the morning

How close together, mileage wise, are some of the Buccees in Texas?
Just curious if they'd build one somewhat close to the one already ooen in East side of Birmingham.
