but I’m a big supporter of removing plastic from the ocean.

Way to stick your neck out for such a controversial opinion

I sure wish those left coast "earth conscious" progressives would stop polluting the earth.

I know. It was a huge risk. I’m awaiting the dozens of people to come in here and oppose it

Amazing isn't it? No other animal on Earth could do this. Maybe beavers. But not like this.

not in that article but one from a week or so ago stated that majority of the debris recovered was 10-15 years old or less. thought that was interesting

It's super cool of the Pacific Ocean to corral all the garbage together into a big patch for us. Can you imagine how hard it would be to harvest if it was all strewn about willy-nilly?

Where are they going to put the trash now? Back in some country that will eventually dump it into the ocean?

Here’s a better idea, take some ships
And giant Nets to the mouth of these trash filled rivers in India and China and South America and let the trash back up until they do something

The amount going into the oceans is way outpacing what that can remove. shite hole SE Asian countries give no shits about pollution and littering into their rivers.

They need to incinerate it, but these dummies probably want to make something out of it so they can feel good about re-purposing something.

thats really cool and far more impactful than removing plastic straws at mcdonalds.

here's to an environmental clean-up effort that is actually more than virtue signalling.

you're 100% correct but at least its out of the ocean. if they want to burn resources trying to make it recyclable thats on them.
