Cut my grass last week, if you want to call it grass. Seems my wall keeping the weeds away was breeched, now have to get the ICE weed force out and round em up.

2 weekends ago. after the freeze in TX it was 80 degrees and it started getting tall.
weed and feeded and seeded before the rain this last weekend and i'm overgrown.
i will say that normally i have to trim off in December and January, but the mower laid dormant from Thanksgiving until the last weekend in February.

I've mowed 5 or 6 times. Finally got all the leaves/sticks completely mulched so I'll be sharpening the blades up this evening. Will fertilize and aerate in the next couple of weeks.

I hear ya. I cut my centipede last weekend, along with the clover and burrweeds starting their crap. With the rain, held off on weed and feed (I'll spread a bit of it next weekend, mostly so I can walk on my lawn). Fixing bald patches with overseeding in mid-late April. Should just switch to bermuda, centipede fragile. But wife likes the way centipede looks.

My grass in Kentucky is about tall enough to knock down now. Not in all areas, but some.
Typical March weather here, 70 yesterday, high of 36 today.
I am planning to do my mower service this weekend and put on new blades.

Not so fast my friend, here in GA we have an a-hole late freeze.
It was 88 Monday afternoon

Is it really a first cut of mowing season if you never really had to stop cutting?

How many of you baws have performed the year's first mow/cut? When do you think mowing season starts?

I have a mix of Bermuda and st aug. Should I have already scalped this mowing season?

Pre-scalped my Tahoma 31 2 weeks ago. Full scalp to come in 1 week. Going to give her a trim tomorrow.
