There was a Law & Order episode that dealt with a female fighter pilot who was advanced through the ranks strictly due to the fact that she was a woman -- the actress even looked like picture above.

Here's the IMDB

And, the actress --

Compared to the real thing --

women pilots are getting better, probably because of the sheer numbers and the fact that it's no longer a novelty, but it was such a travesty and hypocrisy when they first begin to infiltrate the military and airlines, promoted way faster and further without having to meet the same standards as their male counterparts, many time I've seen women pilots that bust check rides, proficiency checks, or just rating rides being sent to a different IP or evaluator with instructions that she will pass this program! whereas the deficient male candidates would be out on the street

Pressed for further details, O'Malley indicated that Kotnik wouldn't stop texting while flying.

You know...flying isn’t the place I would think “oh hey, let me text my boo and ask what he wants for dinner”

I'm sure you remember the female B-52 pilot Kelly Flynn. Was she incompetent? I seem to remember she got busted for adultery, which seemed fairly hypocritical.

What about that cute brunette with the alphabetski last name who was the first female Thunderbird pilot? I think she flew in Iraq and/or Afghanistan. She seemed very capable, but maybe that was just Air Force PR at work.

Male officers get in trouble for adultery as well.. heck I knew a young LT that was on the fast track in the late 80s that got run out of the navy because his slutty white wife got busted for drugs about a mile from his duty station.

I know they do, but it frequently seems like somebody had an ax to grind with them that isn't necessarily related to the adultery. Adultery charges just seem to be used as a vehicle to frick the career of someone that isn't lined by a co-worker.

The answer is to keep it in your pants, but military or not, plenty of people are fricking around on their spouse and still doing a fine job at work.
