So drive around with an unnoticeable small dent. People who make claims because of a small scratch etc. drive me nuts. Nobody will notice. This is why rates are so high.

. Your own insurance company will fault you so they can jack up your rate. Happens all the time. Even if it’s absolutely not your fault they will insist it is at least partially. They are not there to protect you but to get as much as they can from you. By the way, almost every single insurance commissioner of Louisiana in my 60 years have gone to jail. They’re all bought and paid for. IMO even the one we have now. Why do you think we have the highest rates ? Corruption is why. Pay up !

For a minor accident, filing a report could run up the cost for either participant a thousand dollars or more. A police report will expose both vehicles to a detailed safety inspection. Tail light, insurance card, registration, failure to signal, alcohol, failure to stop are questioned in detail to fill out the paper work. Had failure to yield on Saturday cause me to drop mc on road. Panicked other driver called police and received ticket for failure to yield, taillight out and trailer registration expired. About 1200 dollars in fines. I was not hurt, mc not hurt. A hand shake would have sufficed
