Don't even start talking about a 100 yard shot.

I have more experience with 100 yard shots than 100% of this board.

Notice how I didn't include the word "YOU". Hopefully you're better at patterning shotties than you are at reading.

In 245 attempts, I have never missed a shot from over 550 yards.

Some people just like to argue.

I prefer a shotgun for home defense myself.

I was just kidding. I forgot this was tO-T. I should have said 2.5 miles.

Adorable.

I once killed a guy by asking questions about him. He was a LOT further away than 2.5 miles when he "went missing."

Frankly, good riddance, but still - I learned to parse my super powerful words more carefully...

That's nothing, I use to engage and hit targets out to 2,000 meters with no problem. And a lot of the time I was on the move while doing it.

550 light years gets into the area that would impress me.

Yes, but what was your target doing? Everyone knows you can't a hit anything when it's moving and/or returning fire. Adrenaline says no with the quickness.

If you have to ask, you don't need one.

Glock (or any pistol, I have a G19...)
20 Gauge youth with buckshot

Full size 12g are just too big for some homes with hallways, etc.

Offentimes the target was also moving.

Trying to get out of the way of a 120mm FSDSDU round.

Go ahead - ask him about his laser rangefinder, computerized sight and fully stabilized 120mm smoothbore.

Go ahead and ask him.

But you admit that you weren't using a weapon commonly employed for home defense, as that phrase is widely used, don't you?

What are the best ones to have for that " just in case moment" ?

Just in case moment? I have a blowgun with poison darts that were dipped in the serum of poison dart frogs from the Amazon. I coincidentally bought them on Amazon. My back up is an atlatl, but I am not that happy with my pattern on paper? One big fricking hole with no spread.
