If I were the type to wear a mask voluntarily on a plane, and some guy came and offered any sum of money to take it off my response would be, "Show me the money first."

One more thought - If I had $100,000 to toss away on a bet, I certainly would not be flying coach. The folks who do whatever for that kind of money need to be up in first class, where the high rollers sit.

If someone makes several $100k working for a pharma company and corporate policy is strict about their mask policy when flying, can you blame them for not their job by accepting such a spurious offer.

He had a standing offer of $1M for any scientist or doctor who would publicly debate him over COVID statistics. No takers.
He personally funded trials, using repurposed drugs in early treatment for COVID.

Two more reasons for accepting masks when restaurants were giving them to you - they work great as a coaster for your cold mug of beer and make sure to grab a handful on the way out for picking up dog crap in our yard.
