I googled Ruths Chris menu and they do in fact have a ribeye, its on the back of the menu right under the mac n cheese selection.

We are not talking about pulled pork here. We are talking about a filet. Treat it with some damn respect.

Congratulations sir. You have won the worst opinion on the OT today. Please see Chicken for your prize.

I recently saw an article where they polled several professional chefs about the most overrated and underrated cuts of meat. Filet Mignon and tenderloin were mentioned in the overrated category more than any other cut by far. So I don't think this is a particularly controversial take.

That being said, eat what you like. Worrying about what other folks eat is elite soy boy behavior.

Every time I have gone to Ruth's its on the menu right there with the rest of the cuts. Doris Metropolitan has it, almost every steakhouse on earth that serves traditional cuts will have a Ribeye.

There are high end ribeyes dude

They aren’t the best out there if you are in Vegas, NYC etc, but I’ve never had a bad meal at Ruth’s Chris.

I guess it’s all about who you are comparing them to.

Of course it's tender but the flavor compared to an equal in quality cut, cooked in the same manner doesn't compare. That's all he's talking about.

Texture of steak doesn't really wow me. If I want a lower-fat steak option I like a good sirloin. You really taste the iron.

*ETA: the steak I cannot get behind is a strip. Even prime cooked by experts it's still on a lower level. I'll eat it but it's just never as good as other cuts.
