This is why I moved back to Louisiana after decades of missing it. Something going on literally every weekend.

Festival International should be called Hipsters United

Two very different festivals, but both should be a blast. Festival International is huge, Etoufee Festival is smaller, but both should be great in their own way. Show up HUNGRY to either.

Down at Palmetto State Park. Stir the pot here tomorrow and may swing by the festival in Laffy.

Festival International is alot of fun for something that is free to attend. The food/drinks can be pricey though so bring some cash or fuel up before.

Tank and the Bangas playing at Festival tonight.
I absolutely love this festival. Festival International and Hogs for the Cause are 1A/1B for me.

I like Louisiana as much as the next guy, but there are tons of places in this country with events going on every weekend.

The drink prices are actually very reasonable for a free festival. We went last night, mixed drinks were $5, the Festival Punch is $4.50, a 12oz can of the normal BMC stuff is $3.50, craft cans, including Jucifer, were $4. The Biergarten stage area has tons of beers on draft, including DDH Envie and GITM for $5. All those prices are less than you'd pay in a restaurant, definitely fair for a festival. Isn't a 12oz Miller something like $8 at Jazzfest?

Baw, don't forget about the Spanish Festival in Da Berry this weekend as well.

Not to mention that is part of how they put on a 'free' festival. Buy drinks and enjoy the event.

I'm a few block from downtown Lafayette so I'll be there all weekend.
Anders Osborn with the chick from the givers playing at the Courthouse stage tonight.

Imagine the business “Cajun Cannabis” could have pulled in this weekend.

Can't remember the last time I went to festival international. Gotta be at least 10 years

The Etouffee Festival is a very small town fair, and you're likely to see alot of trashy people there. That being said, Arnaudville is my hometown, and I am actually going to it for the first time in many years. If you're a beer fan, you can swing by the LA31 brewery as well.

You can’t imagine how much bigger and better it is.
