A music and arts festival in Detroit is charging fans different prices depending on their skin color.

The organisers of the AfroFuture Fest, set for 3-4 August, are charging lower rates for tickets bought by "people of color" than for "non-people of color". Early bird tickets for "POC" were $10 and $20 for "Non-POC". There were also some "POC" tickets which were free but they have now sold out.

I support property rights, so I think they should be allowed to do this.

but I find it divisive and unnecessary.

Smart business move.

The white people that would want to go to that would gladly pay double.

While I personally support a business being able to do almost whatever they want, this is absolutely without question currently illegal and unconstitutional.

Private organization can charge whatever they want to whoever they want and reap the economic consequences. God bless America

Is there not an insulting undertone that PoC can’t afford to pay the full price for admission?

It would make it like a whole new park.
