Sounds like the prelude to intercourse at a local motel 6.

Seriously though with sexual harassment suits and gender equality issues, I try to treat women the exact same as men. I'd rather be considered to be impolite rather than lose my job over some stupid bullshite. There are not many women in my line of work but I tried to lift something that was kinda heavy for a girl and she looked at me kinda irritated and said "thanks but I can get it myself." A couple months later she gets her boss fired because he would ask her to take notes in all of the meetings but would never ask her male coworkers to do the same.

I open and hold doors for everyone no matter the gender except for car doors unless it's someone I'm dating/related to/Friends with personally.

A guy opening a door for a women does not mean she’s going to sleep with him. Ultimately it’s on her.

Stop being so insecure, which btw, will likely drive her to want to sleep with him. Better step up your game.

The car door? Kinda a weird move.

Yeah... car door is a little different. That's taking up a level.

I am a chivalrous person, but opening a car door for someone else is a bit much.

Open doors to buildings? Yes. Car doors? No. I’m a man, not a fricking valet.

It's obvious what his intentions are. If she wants to frick him there's nothing you can do to stop it. If she wasn't planning on sleeping with him but you act insecure about it, then she will.

My wife would never go to lunch with a male, for the office or otherwise

As long as it's not just the two of them having lunch, I don't care. If it's just the two of them. I am going to approach someone.

That's fair.

And me and Mrs Ignignot both agree that lunches/dining with just one of the opposite sex isn't a good look and both choose not to do it.

It took me a while to find one that thinks clearly but I locked her down.

I do not open car doors, but I will hold a door open to the office. That is just common courtesy.

I actually have this agreement as well. When asked to lunch I say that it’s a team effort here, bring lunch for everyone and I’ll set aside time to talk in depth about whatever at work.

I haven’t opened the car door for a woman since remote entry existed. He’s definitely trying to hit that.

Lol

Its really just about having good communication between you and the S.O. and finding a person who sees things the way you do.
