Applied 2 weeks ago, denied the next day. Figured income and home owners insurance killed it.
Wife got a text yesterday saying misc expenses were approved and a $500 deposit appeared in the checking account.

As soon as my power cut off I went to TX for several days, then came home for a night and grabbed some fresh clothes and went to the AL gulf coast for a few nights. FEMA reimbursed me $500 for hotel expenses.

That sucks.. There should be some type of pre-qualifying to know if you are eligible for the reimbursement for the generator. Buying a good generator and the power cords is a big investment.
