re: FEMA gave my friend $500

Yes uploaded generator receipt last week...only 1 letter for $500 but it just came through a few hours ago

I like most were denied right off the bat. Told me I could apply for an SB loan. Personal property was not eligible and misc was the same. It did say I was eligible for lodging reimbursement but It reads that I had to stay at a fema participating hotel abs they would lay them directly. I didn’t stay anywhere though. Few days later someone contacted me to inspect my property and it wasn’t accessible. They told me to call back when it was. I called back a week later and they said they would have someone call me to come out. Next day I see “rental assistance “ and eligible listed for $1013.00 and then it was deposited the next day. Then about a week later I see misc change to eligible abs 500 bucks. It was deposited yesterday. My generator is still pending

Can you apply for misc after being denied for housing/damage?

I uploaded and mailed it, hopefully there is no conflict

It seems to pop up on its own. I applied around 9/07, got denied 9/12 for having homeowners insurance, and the misc just randomly showed up today.

Initially did not see Misc and yesterday it popped up as Pending. Looked in correspondence and saw a letter that said I was approved for the $500 misc. Uploaded gen/chainsaw yesterday.

I also put in my gen/chainsaw receipt under "Other Misc" and "Other Estimate/Receipt". The description for that is "Other Estimate/Receipt To be considered for FEMA assistance, you must provide a verifiable receipt for a State sponsored, disaster related item, such as a chainsaw, dehumidifier or a humidifier. For clarification on items covered by your state, please contact the Helpline."

Maybe I put it in the right place instead of the "Essential Tools" one.

I called a FEMA rep and she said to make sure "Name, reg ID, disaster num, and last 4 of SSN" on all of the receipts. What I did was make a PDF of the receipts and added text to each one that had that info. Had a PNG and PDF version of each.

Just checked on Upload History and my Other Misc is Pending.

I applied on 8/31. Got approved on 9/15 for the $500. It was deposited this morning.

For my generator, I uploaded the receipt with my ID. A miscellaneous claim popped up on the home page along with the initial rejection and $500 approval. When I go to upload history it says Rejected. I submitted a picture of my generator receipt I bought on 8/30 with my driver license. Hopefully there isn't some technicality I messed up. Why the frick do we have to submit the disaster ID, etc. when it's all linked to your account?
