I thought this as well. Nearing the end of the 30's though is changing things. I'm glad I didnt have kids with my ex-wife so that could be clean, but maybe it's not so bad having a kid either. There's more to life apparently.

I'd much rather seat near an infant on a plane than a 4 or 5 year old kid.

I try to avoid steerage if at all possible but lately I've been getting a lot of seats in the screaming baby section, last trip I forgot my ear plugs so I had to double up on the drinks

No shite. I also felt great at 26 not having kids. I'm now 34 and love having kids. Zero regrets.

What pisses me off to no end is that society and the billionaires who run this country have made it so that it's so g damn expensive to raise kids, the current generation is bypassing having them. So the end result is that we all better learn how to speak Spanish because that generation is not bypassing having kids.

Agreed

I’d have never got married if I didn’t want kids

I don't want anyone one else to feel this kind of pain.

That's why I say don't wait too long before you start trying for kids. Or at least exploring that option and making sure neither one of you has any medical issues in that department that need to be addressed before you to even trying. Don't make the same mistake I made. It will probably be one of my biggest regrets in life now.

Looking back I should have started after returning from my honeymoon. Instead I was selfish and wanted to enjoy marriage a couple years first. After all...women are having kids later and later anyways. I still have some time. That's what modern society tells us right?

Learned the hard way that you can't fight basic biology...even if society says otherwise.

How about just the billionaires who run the country part.

I get society part if you have a "keeping up with the Joneses" mentality.

I'm middle aged now. Our one pregnancy ended in a miscarriage. I'm sad as I get older and think about it.

Why though? I mean should people unable to conceive just get divorced?
