The vast majority of people with kids have no idea what it’s like to be able to travel and have experiences while they’re young and healthy. They have no idea what it’s like to be 30-35 and have an established career, discretionary income, vacation time and zero responsibilities. Maybe if they would’ve worn a rubber or not fell into the small town peer pressure of being married and done with having all their kids by 30 they could’ve enjoyed those things and THEN made the conscious mature decision on if they really want a pack of kids. Now they’re all in the rat race of nagging spouses, dance recitals, travel ball, and all the other BS. Just hoping they can make it to 65 years old without dying so they can retire and go on that Alaskan cruise that they’ve been hearing so much about.
That is all about having money. We have kids and travel on big trips way more than another couple who are the same age as us without kids. Now they go out more locally than we do but I would rather hang out with family than strangers/co-workers at bars. My brother in law has 3 kids and they leave the country twice every year for weeks while their parents watch the kids. Once kids are old enough they will go on most of the trips which make them even better.
I know an older couple in their 50’s who have never had kids nor wanted them. At their house they have an entire wall of pictures of just the two of them from vacations through out the years. It is kind of sad. After you look at a few of them you are done because they are all the same. They admitted last year, for the first time ever, that they wished they would of had kids.

I was on a business trip this week for work. I couldn’t wait to get home to tuck my 2 year old daughter in. Yeah, all that stuff you talk about is good. Having kids is great.

I had kids early in life, and I'm sure I missed out on a few things as a result. But I dont regret anything about my kids, except not being able to meet them sooner. My 2 boys are awesome, and there is no experience that I would trade a second for in place of them. I know my opinion will be split, but I guarantee anyone who is a parent will understand, I dont expect anyone that isnt to. Because of you're not a parent you're incapable of understanding. But cheers, to each their own.
