I know very, very few people in their late 20s who go out 4 nights a week. Maybe bartenders? Hell, even bartenders tend to slow down by that age. Most people my age (29) work full time jobs and do not go out every night.

The decision not to have kids has absolutely nothing at all to do with bars, and I think its a bit dense to assume people choose not to have kids purely because of bars.

Seems pretty dense to think you have it all figured out in your 20's, no?

Look, my comment in these threads is always the same. Kids aren't for everyone and I appreciate those that figure that out and spare the world a little jr. baby son-of-a-bitch. However, don't sit there and act like some authority on how your life is better than those with kids when you have no idea what it feels like to experience the other side of your argument.

Enjoy when you are in a nursing home because you have no kids to help or offer love while your 44 year old black queer of an orderly shoves his dick up your arse because who you gonnna' tell, anyway?

I said those things in my 20s. Got married at 37. Had my first and only child at 39. You truly don’t know what Love is until you have a child. Maybe when you’re old and the ghost of Christmas past comes to visit you’ll see it.

Kids are awesome. I don't understand the mindset of people who don't want them.

Raising a kid for 18 years and prioritizing your whole life around a little punk that will probably grow up and move away and barely ever call home or even care how you are doing just isn't that attractive to some people. The idea of spending 30 mins in the morning fighting with a kid to get ready for school on time, and then seeing them for about 2-3 hours while they rush to finish homework and get to bed isn't enjoyable to everyone. Spending thousands of dollars a year on a kids private school education so that they can have their best chance at this shithole world isn't attractive to everyone. Creating human life and raising a child that has to put up with this absolute shite show of chicks with D1cKs and mass shootings just isn't that attractive to some people.

What's more selfish? To bring a kid into this shite show because you want to continue your family name and share a wholesome and ultimate love with your spouse. Or deciding that it may not be the best idea to have a child and raise them in a world of filth that they'll have to put up with for another 80 years! Can you imagine the absolute disaster that this country and world will be in by the time lil johnny makes it to 50 years old?! Screw that.

100% with you! There's nothing like having

I'm lucky enough to be part of a close knit Italian family. I'm very close with my sister and her family. She has 4 kids. I have lunch with her family and my Dad every Sunday. When I'm old and frail, I'll just build a small house on her property. No worries for me about being forgotten about in some shite nursing home.

You understand the general public is safer today than it has been at any other time in history? People were pumping out kids with the real threat of invasion and nuclear war decades ago. The problems of today are trivial comparatively.

With that said, if you're too weak to raise a child with proper direction then you're doing the world a favor by not having kids. Thank you.

Couldn’t agree more and just just got married to a woman who has no kids either and it’s awesome to not have to deal with all that baggage

The idea that I could have my chance to do the right thing and "raise my kid the right way so he can show America what's good in this world" is a waste of time in my book. Thanks and Good Luck to those folks that find procreating as their calling in life, the earth needs more people.

Greatest part of my life was bringing 3 beautiful children into this world and watching them become loving productive adults. For those of you that say that you are glad you didn't have kids you wouldn't understand the joy, disappointment, excitement, etc. of raising your own children. I will not say anything bad about people that choose not to have children because to each their own. In my case my children are part of my life and will always be and I am forever thankful for that. Those without kids just find hapiness however you can. My .02

Maybe there’s an option C...have kids so that you can raise them to be strong, smart, courageous and conscientious enough to confront what’s wrong in the world, overcome it and make things better for everyone around them?

No one would want to watch your kids anyway. They'd probably eat a Sam's tub of cheetoes per day.

I mean, it's pretty easy to see why he wouldn't want to have kids. The world needs less of these running around.......

Yet you are missing out on love that knows no bounds and untold amounts of joy too. Maybe one day you will grow up and think of someone else besides yourself.

Saturday I caught my 2.5 year old breaking a sprinkler head off and then shoving as many pebbles as he could down into the opening of the pipe...I do love that little fricker though
