It'll only result in larger vehicles with even smaller engines.

heres a good video explaining why:

Most republicans in congress are pretty worthless but I’m not exactly sure what you want to them to do here over something that probably will never even happen

This is what you get when poli sci and gender study majors write regulations with no math and science backgrounds.

We need engineers who know wtf is going on. We need to get more technical people running organizations so they can explain what can be done realistically.

So, look at who is invested in Cobalt and Lithium concerns. This is driving this as much as the enviros.

So what happens when the congo is bled dry of its cobalt reserves? Because if you look at the mining videos out of there, holy shite.

Thanks a lot Al Gore for this and the internet. Both are a clear marker of regression in society.

Al Gore and his series of tubes didn't create the internet.

DARPAnet existed in the 60s for god sakes.

What happens when it doesn't happen?

It'll quietly and conveniently get memory-holed like when Al Gore said the oceans would rise by 20 feet soon, or when Greta the Goblin tweeted 5 years ago that humanity could be wiped out by climate change in 5 years.

But that still won't stop our globalist fearmongers from destroying nature with more wind and solar farms, and more lithium and cobalt mines.

Always a good time when the "fiscal responsibility" morons complain about efficiency.

The goal is to kill car ownership. They know this is ridiculous and that's the point.

Yep. Same with homes. Mortgage rates are never coming back down. Forcing more and more people into renting. With the majority of those homes owned by ESG entities like Blackrock within 20-25 years.

Want to end mobility of the middle class.

Part of the beauty of living in America is being able to jump in your car and drive from sea to shining sea on a whim if you so choose.

Can't be having that shite.

Or when the “environmentalists and human rights advocates” push policies that result in more strip mining of cobalt

NYC is trying to choke off car access and offer bike lanes instead all for the Cult of AGW. I've know a number of people who rode bikes in NYC over the years and almost all of them were injured, some quite seriously.

Today it looks like 8 out of 10 bicycles are food delivery who pay no attention whatsoever to traffic rules.

Saw a guy today on an electric monocycle doing what looked like 25 to 30 mph. I hope he survives the lesson.

I’m not sure why anyone thinks it’s a bad idea to push initiatives for more efficiency and lower fuel consumption.

A lot of increased efficiency is due to making lighter cars which are also more dangerous in an accident. There is always a trade off, but a bunch of climate change cultist political bureaucrats are guaranteed to screw things up with their foolishness.
