We’ve had major issues with USPS this year. My wife’s present has been sitting in Dallas for 2 weeks now.

I heard they let go of some folks before the holidays. No idea why. But that’s what is causing the delays. Short staffed

It’s not just Covington. It’s all over the country.

My subdivision had the same issue. Stuff was “out for delivery” for weeks. Wife ordered a gift for our nephew on black Friday and it was delivered two days ago (and was broken when it got here.)

A lady in our subdivision was told our driver quit. Apparently the new deal FedEx gave drivers wasn’t as popular as they were telling everyone and they aren’t being truthful.

USPS sucks balls. They’ve had a package since December 11th it’s pretty much sat for 2 days in each facility that it’s passed through and now it’s been in Baton Rouge since the 19th.

Fedex has gone down hill after the Castaway plane crash movie.

My USPS is amazing. Got a package yesterday 2 days before it was supposed to be here.

I think a lot of yalls problem is living in Louisiana. It's the 50th ranked state for plenty of good reasons.

Same thing happened to me. Ordered something with 3-day FedEx shipping on the 12th. It’s been “out for delivery” with various lies attached to it like “expected this day between 12:32-4:31…” or “its loaded on Shaniquas truck”… since the 16th. Finally, I went to the distribution center on the 23rd, gave them my information and was told I would receive a call when they found it…

Call never came and I was lucky enough to find a similar gift at a local retailer on Christmas Eve.

FXG is pretty much at the mercy of their route owners. It’s a great system 10 months out of the year but the holidays are up for grabs

This.
FedEx Ground and FedEx Air are now 2 different entities. Air is efficient and what we remember. Ground is now all subbed out to private 3rd parties.

Every terminal is different. I got most of my packages delivered unless it was a bad address. We had Express guys come in on Sundays for extra pay to clean out what was left over from the week.

Now the process likely begins on letting the seasonal help go and sending back the rented U-Haul and Budget trucks.

My wife has 2 presents stuck there and one that is stuck with USPS since middle of last week. Luckily none were for the kids so Christmas wasn’t ruined but still annoying.

I ordered her some caviar to be delivered this Saturday that is supposed to be coming via FedEx. If it’s not here I’ll be there bright and early Monday causing a ruckus.

I would agree with this 100%. USPS in the New Orleans area is awful. The carriers refuse to scan packages they pick up at our business. They don't scan them at the station. They don't scan them at the hub in St. Rose. In many cases, the first scan that we see is when they arrive the Memphis TN hub several days after it has been shipped. All the while, we know these packages have gone out, but there is zero tracking and customers are pissed.

When that happens with our USPS packages, they typically show up the next day. We just figure they were too lazy/left early that day.

Ya, we got lucky and the only thing that didnt make it was some r/c car that my wife ordered from china.

I told her that was never making it here in time for Christmas and we'd be lucky to even get it. I have no idea why she ordered it from whatever website she ordered it from.

Maybe we just got lucky, but all our stuff came from UPS/USPS and we had no issues.

Everything about FedEx is a joke.
This. In the past month, I had three packages that were supposed to delivered by FedEx. All of them were stuck at the Pflugerville, TX warehouse for days (I'm in Austin).

We've had similar issues with UPS/USPS/FEDEX here recently. Amazon, for all of their faults actually has a great process to rectify issues.

For example, wife ordered a phone case in the beginning of november. Shipped via USPS from amazon seller. USPS says delivered, but alas, there is no package. Wait a few days, still no package. Got on amazon and cancelled then reordered through the AI service. Then, the same thing happens. No package after the package says "delivered". So I filled an inquiry with USPS with all of the information. Don't you know, two days later both phone cases magically reappeared.

If there are delays, I'm fine with it. Just quit fake delivering packages.

lol my wife was telling me our couch cover that we ordered 2 weeks before Christmas is stuck there and I just told her to assume it’s lost. Cracking up now that I have the real reason.
