Similar experience. One package has been in Covington since 12/13. Went out for delivery on 12/20 but never came. Amazon and UPS no issues.

I've learned to never trust FedEx tracking until I see it on the porch.

especially at this time of year. FXG is a long time client of mine I’ve spent months at a time in those big distribution centers. I remain amazed at the sheer volume that goes thru those places. It is staggering

regarding the holiday crush, FXG is pretty much at the mercy of their route owners. It’s a great system 10 months out of the year but the holidays are up for grabs

Thanks, it’s been a burden. I drank bourbon and neglected my kids all day because of it. They need to pay!!

It’s amazing how far FedEx has fallen. They sat in my package for 6 days saying it would be delivered but always no attempt. They really suck now

Did you have to explain to the two year old how Santa failed him/her?

Can't forget drivers who deliver to the wrong address or drop parcels on the ground. Absolutely clueless company whose upper management believe their crappy ads telling us how great they are. The best thing to do is complain to the vendor about their carrier.

Yeah, I told him that the union and Santa just like his brother more. Maybe next year he’ll try harder.

I've seen some horror stories on Facebook about the covington FedEx.

Also, saw where a dude was selling grab bags of stolen FedEx stuff on Facebook marketplace.

Not really. It just means it was sitting in a warehouse closer to you.

If I get something regular mail from like wa or Cali it takes a while. Longer than it takes you to travel there.

I have too. I saw a thread on here about usps but not FedEx. Figured I would just bash them more on another forum.

The bikes were lagniappe, anyway. I spent 4 days putting together a lifetime playset and they had plenty of toys under the tree.

I’m not upset about the delay, I’m upset that they blatantly lie about their tracking and make it impossible to talk to anyone but a virtual assistant. They then somehow or another keep these big contracts with reputable companies.

You’re right. And, what else are you going to do? Do you think UPS or USPS are any better?

There is a list of things you can do to avoid this.

#1 - you can buy the bikes in a store.

#2 - you can order the bikes in Oct/Nov and not in December.

It's like the LSU morons who complain about traffic after a game. There are 100, 000 people leaving one place at the same time. Obviously there is going to be heavy traffic. Replace that will Christmas gifts. There are millions of packages being shipped in December. There will be delays, and a greater risk for error. You can be smart enough to avoid that.

No doubt, but, twice they were ordered and shipped from Illinois to Covington in 2 days. I’d imagine the logistics department is just as slammed nationwide as it is here. Which is why I specifically called out the Covington logistics center.

There has been a lot of talk about the Covington facility on the local Facebook pages. Apparently 20 plus trucks are just sitting there waiting to be unloaded. They don’t have the staff do all of the work.

You should see the FedEx drivers who have been working my neighborhood this month. I'm not sure they are literate.

A lot of our stuff didn't arrive for Christmas. My kids are disappointed.

Some of the stuff sitting in the Covington facility was definitely ordered in November. This isn’t a season volume delay. These are deliveries that have worked their way through the system and can’t be delivered now that they’ve reached the final stop.
